Obituary: Seasons and Times For Every Purpose To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under the heaven. A Time to be Born Sammie L. Fletcher was born in Christiana, TN on November 11, 1936 to Al and Annie Webb Fletcher. A Time to be Educated He was educated in the Rutherford County School System. A Time to Love and be Loved In 1969, he was united in holy matrimony to Mary Elizabeth Sanford. A Time to Give Service He attended Bradley Creek Missionary Baptist Church. He always served his family, friends and community with a loving, giving heart. A Time to Work His lifes work included working for Wicks Lumber Company until his retirement. A Fight of a Lifetime Sunday morning, March 14, 2010, Sammie L. Fletcher departed his earthly home. He touched the lives of many who will cherish his loving memory, including his wife, Mary Elizabeth Sanford Fletcher; daughters, Ethel (Jeremiah) Hawkins, Penny Sanford, Kay Miller; sons, Robert (Melanie) McCullough, Marcus Sanford, Sammie (Virginia) McCullough, Jeffery Sanford, Willie (Joyce) McCullough, Joe (Lillian) McCullough, James (Faye) McCullough, David (Lavonne) McCullough; brothers, Joe Mack Fletcher, Earl Fletcher; sisters, Ann Lee "Buck") Ferguson, Classie Ferguson; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, friends, loved ones and three very special friends, Fred Wade, Walter Prunell and Doug Prunell. The repast will be at Allen Chapel AME Church on Maney Avenue in Murfreesboro, TN immediately after the interment.
